None of us at Securiscape ever met Her Majesty the Queen, but in line with the millions of people in the UK – and overseas – we all share the feeling of sadness following the news of her death.
Much has already been said about Her Majesty’s life and her reign coming to an end but as a company that it proud to call itself British and whose products have been installed in communities across the country, we realise that her passing represents the end of an era for our country.
None of us have ever known a King on the throne and none of us have held a British bank note or coin which does not have her image on the back of it.
In the fullness of time this will soon change but we hope that the qualities Her Majesty embodied will continue to be admired – her keen interest and respect for other people’s way of life, her love for her country and the way in which, even during her greatest personal struggles, she carried on with the role that she had accepted
